Teaching is discussing, mining ideas, understanding problems and identifying solutions together.
Students and teachers should feel free to explore in class what interest them, on the base of their knowledge and studies. Theories, approaches and tools have to be understood and managed in order to be effective means for disentangling reality. Students need to take risks in order to learn. Teachers need to take risks in order to learn.
A promising attempt to extend the in-class discussion is the use of digital tools, as the e-learning platform (moodle) that we use in our courses. The e-learning platform is designed to be an area where students can find all the needed info but also a place where to interact, contribute and actively improve the knowledge they can build and share.
